The study included children from birth to 18 years of age inclusive; and

The study investigated manipulation in a therapeutic clinical context; and

The study was published in a peer-reviewed publication or was reported in conference proceedings; or

The article was a relevant systematic review.

Descriptive studies (ie, surveys) that do not investigate manipulation in a therapeutic clinical context;

Studies in which a small number of paediatric subjects were a part of a larger adult trial, and in which the results were not reported separately; or

Abstracts from conference proceedings which were later published in the scholarly literature.
