The Chiropractic Resource Organization, located at http://www.chiro.org/, is a non-profit organization [501(c)(6)], founded and run by unpaid volunteers. It is maintained by chiropractors, for chiropractors, with no thought of reward.
Chiro.Org, established in March of 1995, is the oldest existing chiropractic website, following the retirement of John Wiens, DC’s Chiropractic Page to our Archives section.
Chiro.Org averages between 160-200,000 unique visits per month.
According to Alexa.Com, 1,541 websites link to our content,
magnifying (exponentially) our Sponsor’s exposure every day.
This makes us (hands-down) the most visited chiropractic website on Planet Earth.
Over the last 23 years, Chiro.Org has remained true to our original vision– to bring balanced, non-confrontational, and non-solicitous information of value to the Chiropractic profession.
Our continually growing site is also archival in nature, and most sections even have their own dedicated search tools, so our vast collection of research studies and articles are readily available, and are constantly accessed by our Profession.
As a non-profit organization, we need to generate revenues to support our operating and maintenance costs, which in the past had been subsidized by donations from our worker-volunteers.
There is no other Chiropractic website that offers more free and useful information to the Profession than Chiro.Org. That’s why we have a consistantly high level of traffic.

What We Offer:
Chiro.org seeks to work with companies who are trying to reach the chiropractic profession with their products and services. We offer access to our readership of thousands of practitioners and doctors-to-be, at a very reasonable rate. And, unlike other forms of media, which have rates based on circulation or viewership, our modest rates will not increase as our readership continues to grow. (More “hits” at that same low cost!). We average 160-200,000 unique visitors per month (note – that’s not hits, but rather unique visits!). Further, your ad will be available for viewing 24 hours a day, every day on more than 6,000 pages! It’s doubtful that any other advertising media you have used can come close to the economy of our rates for reaching our targeted national readership.
We offer one simple approach for reaching our vast readership:
Banner advertising. Banners are a familiar and striking visual method for communicating your name and products to our readers. When our readers click on your graphic ad, they will immediately be transported to your home page.
Banner graphics are an effective and easily recognized mechanism for learning more about you. Our readers appreciate our sponsors, because of our unique format. We also limit the number of, and the quality of our sponsors, so the traffic from our site will be highly motivated to do business with you. In addition to the graphic banner ad, you will also receive a 50-word product and services description on our Sponsors Page.
Unlike most websites, your banner is not isolated on a ‘supplier or advertiser’ page, which requires a user to intentionally visit that section to even see your banner.
Your banner will appear atop 6,000 of our most-visited pages, and because the banners are randomly rotated by an internal clock, they all receive equal exposure.
The Design of Your Banner:
Your Ad will be sized 420×60 pixels and will be no larger than 40 KB.
Banner ads are $250 for a 6-month contract.
NOTE: Those rates are discounted to $400 for a full 1-year banner.
There is no setup charge if you create and submit your own banner as a GIF format, sized to the 420 x 60 pixel format, with a maximum file size of 40 KB.
If you don’t have a banner, we can create one for you. The cost is $100 for a “static” banner, or $125 for an “animated” banner.
- NOTE: There will be a $25 handling fee any time you replace or update your banner during the period of your contract.
There is one other option for banner sponsors: Some of our most-visited pages receive between 8,000 to 14,000 unique visitors per month. So you can choose to become the exclusive sponsor of your favorite section or page.

As you have already seen, your banner will appear (in rotation with the other banners) on the top of our 6,000+ pages. Because we average 160-200,000 unique visits month, and our readers browse from page to page, that’s a LOT of exposure for a small group of banner sponsors! We feel this offer is mutually beneficial. The select companies that advertise at Chiro.Org receive exposure to our large chiropractic audience, and also help to support a non-profit organization whose goals are to improve and inform the very same profession that buys their products.
This online sales form is provided to add the company information we need to prepare your ad.
Your ad placement will not occur until payment has been received.
**NOTE: We limit the number of banners ads to no more than (16), to assure exceptional exposure for our sponsors. When we reach our current limit for banners, others wishing to become a sponsor will be placed on a first-come, first-serve waiting-list, and will be offered a banner should an existing sponsor fail to renew. Those wishing to be placed on our wait-list must provide 25% (or $100) earnest money to hold their place in line. This non-refundable fee will be applied towards your banner fee, once a space becomes available.
Chiropractic Resources Organization
ADVERTISING CONTRACT PARTIES: Pursuant to this binding agreement Chiropractic Resources Organization, also known as Chiro.Org, of 309 Bluff Ave #1W, La Grange, IL 60525 and Advertiser, also known as (company name) [as submitted above] [of address as submitted above], Advertiser shall pay to Chiro.Org amounts due a payable in US Currency in advance, as determined by the fee schedule presented below, and Chiro.Org shall reserve Advertising Space as set forth in the below advertising fee schedule and time period. The Advertising Start Date will be the first day of the ad’s appearance on the Chiro.Org Web server. The advertiser contracts with the Chiropractic Resource Organization (Chiro.Org) for the following:
Fee Schedule ___ Banner ad rates and setup fees: Banner ad (420×60 pixels, no more than 15K in file size).
Banner Setup fee, applicable for all new banners or change on existing banners:
A minimum six-month commitment: total $250 for renewals (plus possible setup fees).
One year at the discounted annual rate: total $400/yr. for renewals (plus possible setup fees).
DEFINITIONS: Advertising Space: This means one Advertisement, stored on the Chiro.Org Web server, with a defined Start Date. Advertisement: This means the graphic or text file supplied by an Advertiser, which can be Selected by a user as a Link.
Link: This means a request for information from a server other than the Chiro.Org Web servers.
Slot: This means an HTML page which may include an Chiro.Org Advertising Space and the Sponsor’s Advertisement.
Start Date: First day the Chiro.Org Web server displays the Advertisement.
Web server: Server computer of Chiro.Org that users may access via the Internet. The server computer will be offline for maintanance periodically, as needed, however should there be an unforseen problem which takes the server offline for more than a 24-hour period, we will compensate advertisers by adding an equivalent amount of additional time to the end of your contracted advertising period.
Rates are payable in advance of the advertising period. Rates not under contract
are subject to change.
RIGHT TO REFUSE UNACCEPTABLE ADVERTISING:
Chiro.Org reserves the right to refuse any advertisement or sponsorship banner or text file that does not completely conform to every detail, instruction, method, and guideline set in the Technical Specifications which can be found on Chiro.Org’s Banner and Link-Text advertising information sheets. Chiro.Org reserves the right to refuse any advertisement graphic that does not arrive ten days before the Advertiser would like the banner to be produced online. Chiro.Org does not accept advertising from companies that produce or provide products or services which are inappropriate, which Chiro.Org shall have complete discretion to define. In addition, Chiro.Org reserves the right to define what unacceptable and inappropriate advertising is.
Chiro.Org makes no guarantee to any published numbers at any given time. Chiro.Org shall not be held liable for any claims as they relate to said usage statistics. Chiro.Org is not required to provide advertisers with usage statistics, but may at their own discretion.
SPAM is defined as an Internet user sending unsolicited and unwanted messages or advertisements to other Internet users, which violates US Code Title 47, Sec.227(a)(2)(B) and the common standards of Internet Etiquette. Chiro.Org reserves the right to immediately cancel and terminate any Advertisement prior to the contracted advertising period, if the Advertiser or parties contracted by the Advertiser have been found to have sent SPAM to subscribers of any the Chiropractic Newsgroups. The current major Chiropractic Newsgroups are: Chiro-List, Chirosci-List and Chiro-News. In addition to termination of the Advertiser’s advertisement, Chiro.Org will not refund any of the fees paid for the unused portion of that Advertisers contracted advertising period.
Similarly, if a Advertiser posts ads or offers in any of the sections of Chiro.Org’s Forum, which is specifically for individual chiropractors and students and _not_ commercial enterprises, Chiro.Org reserves the right to immediately cancel and terminate any Advertisement prior to the contracted advertising period, and Chiro.Org will not refund any of the fees paid for the unused portion of that Advertisers contracted advertising period.
TRUTH IN ADVERTISING / INDEMNIFICATION FOR LIABILITY:
Advertiser is solely responsible for any legal liability arising out of or relating to (1) the Advertisement, and/or (2) any material to which users can link through the Advertisement. Advertiser represents and warrants that the Advertisement and Link comply with Chiro.Org’s advertising standards; and that it holds the necessary rights to permit the use of the Advertisement and Link by Chiro.Org for the purpose of this Agreement; and that the use, reproduction, distribution, or transmission of the Advertisement will not violate any criminal laws or any rights of any third parties, including, but not limited to, such violations as infringement or misappropriation of any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, music, image, or other proprietary or property right, false advertising, unfair competition, defamation, invasion of privacy or rights of celebrity, violation of any antidiscrimination law or regulation, or any other right of any person or entity. Advertiser agrees to indemnify Chiro.Org and to hold Chiro.Org harmless from any and all liability, loss, damages, claims, or causes of action, including reasonable legal fees and expenses that may be incurred by Chiro.Org, arising out of or related to Advertiser’s breach of any of the foregoing representations and warranties. Advertiser agrees to request that Chiro.Org be listed as an additional insured on any policy issued to Advertiser pursuant to which there could be coverage for any of the forms of legal liability described in this paragraph.
LIMITATION ON DAMAGES: in no event will chiro.org be liable to sponsor or advertiser for any special, incidental, or consequential damages, whether based on breach of contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, and whether or not chiro.org has been advised of the possibility of such damage.
ASSIGNMENT: Advertiser may not assign this agreement, in whole or in part, without Chiro.Org’s written consent. Any attempt to assign this Agreement without such consent will be null and void.
GOVERNING LAW: This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT: This Agreement and any and all exhibits and attachments are the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, superseding and replacing any and all prior agreements, communications, and understandings (both written and oral) regarding such subject matter, provided that all pricing will be governed by Chiro.Org’s Pricing Information, whether printed on paper or electronically. The terms and conditions of this Agreement will prevail over any contrary or inconsistent terms in any purchase order. This Agreement may only be modified, or any rights under it waived, by a written document executed by both parties. The amount of the enclosed check will determine the type of advertisement, [link or banner] and the length of time the advertisement is to run on the chiro.org server.
